Our Story
In 2015 I landed a sweet summer job as a white-water raft guide on the Nantahala River. Still baby faced at the time, I stumbled upon a new culture that would shape the rest of my life. There are many “bearded lifestyles”, but this is the one I fell in love with.

The Bearded Life Style
This story is just my experience and exposure to the bearded lifestyle and culture. Everyone’s journey is different but the outcome is the same, you’re a better bearded man. If you have ever been white water rafting, chances are your raft guide was one of the most entertaining parts. The job is a magnet for adventurous, easy going, out-door loving, kind hearted people…. Hippies. Everyone was rocking their kick ass beards even some of the women (armpit beards). At the surface the guides looked like tribal alcoholics. But within the next couple months, I would discover and establish the core values that lead my life and created Bearded Crew.

I started to research the biggest beard care companies, how to make products, and most importantly I socially listened to the bearded community. After 2 months of planning I created Bearded Crew’s first line beard oil. Each one of our beard oil products are created to target a specific occasion or need found commonly among bearded men.

When we first stepped on the beard care scene most company’s products smelt like outdoor, earth tones. Worse than this, these same companies all used the same base ingredients in every recipe as well.

We combine aromatherapy with premium natural (organic when possible) ingredients to stimulate your mind, beard, and body. Each one of our products utilizes a unique base of ingredients that help with different skin types and common issues. One size never fits all.

Our Founder
Alex Walser
Alex Walser is the owner and founder of Bearded Crew. Alex grew up in the sticks of Lexington, NC. Alex earned a dual undergraduate degree in marketing and management from Western Carolina University.
Alex’s friends consider him easy-going, kind-hearted, and adventurous. Driven by the urge to help people and build a better local community, Alex takes great pride in the future outlook of providing jobs with the business ventures that he creates.
Working a full time 8-5 job just to come home to work 6-11 pursuing his dreams doesn’t leave a man with a lot of free time. But when he’s not working Alex enjoys any type of outdoor physical activity. One of his favorite things to do is go traditional rock climbing on multi-pitch routes with his little brother Jon. Alex enjoys playing Texas Hold’em with his friends, although he is “easy money” and rarely wins.
